Couple weeks ago I went for a weekend to see my good friends in London. We were planing to go for a nice quiet evening out. On our way to city was Docklands Bar and Grill. We decided to have some drinks before our way, however... we stayed there until close. It was a nice surprised for us. Really nice atmosphere and staff really helpful. Once we got inside one of the staff came along towards us, gave us a table and food menu.. We came just for a drink, however we had also some food as menu looked really enjoyable. And it was, I had a nice whole sea bass with fennel orange salad, my colleagues had whole baby chicken and we had side roasted winer vegetables. When both of the dishes arrived was shocking of portion size and taste. Please pass my thanks to your Chefs!!! It was an awesome meal !! Drinks menu is really big, so many different selections of drinks, bar tender recommended us cocktails, all of them were so tasteful, and colorful. Bar staff were great and so professional, made us felt very welcome. I will definitely back one day. Docklands bar and grill 10 out of 10.

This is the restaurant of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Royal Docks. It provides an excellent dining experience with good views of the water of Royal Docks, a very high quality menu and wine list and attentive service. Living just next door we have used it many times on different occasions and every time the steaks have been cooked to perfection. On 12 Feb they had a Burlesque dinner event that exceeded all expectations and hopefully the large response by diners will encourage Rowan and the the team to repeat it very soon and offer other themed events that we know he has planned. The set dinner menu had very adequate choices for all three courses and the added touches of Special Cocktails, romantic candles floating in coloured vases and the staff dressed in Burlesque Club themed feathers and bowlers showed the attention to detail Rowan and his team made and to warrant rating this evening 11 out 10 !!

whilst walking through the excel we came across docklands bar and grill with and barbque on the go. we thought it looked nice so i said to my wife to try this for dinner.the staff was very polite but the food let it down. the trout salad had more rocket and beans to fill the bowl up.and the lamb chop with mediterainian veg was very disappointing.if you do eat here make sure you order extra veg to top up your plate.thank you.

I’d heard a few good things about this new restaurant from some work colleagues so I thought I’d try it for myself. I took my parents there for dinner, it had been a while since I last saw them and my boss said it had a very ambient atmospehere, perfect for a pleasant catch up
with the folks.

We went on a Wednesday night in September and although it was surprisingly busy, we were seated immediately by friendly staff. The first thing that struck us as we sat down was the wonderful view of the Royal Victoria Dock as well as the 02 Dome and Canary Wharf. Before even ordering our food we felt settled and comfortable the dining area was busy but not overly
crowded, we enjoyed the atmosphere and could hear each other talk.

The menu was impressive. A nice, original selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes were available for both starter and main. Being big desert fans, we skipped the starters even though a number of them appealed, particularly the marinated sea bass and guacamole and the sauteed chicken livers with roast figs. I ordered the scallop, cod and prawn fish pie(£13.50) whilst my parents ordered a tuna ratatouille (£14) and a calf’s liver with mash (£12). The portions were abolutely spot-on, we felt satisfied but certainly had room left for desert. My mother, a great cook in her own right, deemed the ingredients very fresh and of good quality though this should really be expected. The waiting time was ok but I’m always happy to wait a bit longer if it is obvious due care and attention has been given to the meal.

We were all looking forward to our deserts and weren’t disappointed when they arrived. We ordered three apple & blackcurrent crumbles(£5.50), each served with a generous helping of freshly made custard and fresh fruit.

The bill came to just less than £80 including drinks and service charge which, whilst not affordable on a regular basis, felt was fairly reasonable for the quality of our food and good service. We had a great evening and it was all the better for the style and atmosphere of the restaurant. We left well fed and watered this is definately a great place to come for all sorts of occasions and I will certainly be returning in the future.
